~AMMA COMES TO CHARLOTTE~

My mom flew up from Florida, the Thursday prior to Macy's birthday especially to partake in the festivities. We had a wonderful visit and Macy had tons of things to teach and share with Amma.





















Amma got Macy a Spiderman fishing pole for her birthday. They started practicing in the backyard. It's pretty cute how interested she is in it. There is a plastic red fish you tie on to the end of the line so you "catch one" everytime! At first, she was catching "the big one" and gave it a kiss when she reeled it in....where was the camera then, right?!?! Lately, she has just been getting smaller ones. All of this practice though will prepare her for this summer fishing at the cottage. She will probably be the one that will catch the "LUNKER"!!!

Amma got to enjoy time in Macy's library. Somehow she manages to get her grandparents to crawl up there with her and read....very nice quality time! Who will come to her library next???

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MACY!!!

This year, for Macy's 3rd birthday, Ryan and I decided to have the party at Chuck E. Cheese. Can you tell from the pictures?! We thought we would buck up and save ourselves the headache of planning, cleaning, etc from a party at home. We actually had the party on Sunday, which was a rainy day in Charlotte. Obviously all the kids in Charlotte had been trapped in their homes all day cause they all showed up at Chuck E. Cheese to blow off some steam! It was packed when we walked in and I could not imagine any kind of organization going on for the party. To my surprise, it turned out great! We had a super helper/waitress that really made things run smooth. Everyone enjoyed themselves and left with full bellies. Interestingly enough, Macy could care less about Chuck himself. Actually, she was quite petrified of the sight of him and didn't accept his birthday wishes to well. Lesson learned....no big mouse costumes at birthday parties needed for a good time.
